Dr. Brunell's primary line of research concerns the role of narcissism in social contexts. She has published papers about the role of narcissism in predicting emergent leadership, greed, academic cheating, decision-making, and relationship behaviors. She recently co-edited the Handbook of Trait Narcissism: Key Advances, Research Methods, and Controversies. She serves on the Editorial Boards of Assessment, Personality and Individual Differences, and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin. She is a Fellow of the Midwestern Psychological Association and the Society for Experimental Social Psychology, and Society for Personality and Social Psychology. She is the co-advisor of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. She regularly works with undergraduate research assistants and collaborators, who can sign up for Psych 4998 for this opportunity.
